Hey all.

I'm trying to track down a method of a totally blind user using a spectrum 48 or a 128k.
I'm happy for this topic to widen into the discussion of all vintage sr's, but i'm poticually interested in readers for the spectrums and some of the early aio type sharps with the green screens.
Hopefully we'll all be able to learn something here and thanks for any replies.

Wow! I love vintage computing and I've never heard of these! What kind of processor did they run? What about os? I've never heard of screenreaders for anything below Dos 3.3 at the earliest and I've never used anything below a 286, though my favourite is 486. Then again, I do have a Keynote PC from about 1985 so hmm. But I can't get it to run cause it gave me an error message the first time I plugged it in and just quit on me. But I love how it had built-in speech. I've tried Vert and wanted to throw everything across the room. Trackpads and at least two different programs just to do simple things? No thanks! I love Vocaleyes and that, along with dos 6.22 and Wordperfect 5.1, is what I use on my Keynote Gold, though I know it comes with it's own system. Anyway, I prefer dos 5.0. As for other systems, I have an apple II C and II GS with a screenreader but forget the name since I've never used it. I also have an internet package for the II GS, again unused.
